Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR)
JT4 is responsible for new equipment integration and design/development of hardware and software solutions to support the range. The team supports a number of highly sophisticated training exercises that simulate battlefield simulations, including:
  • Red Flag
  • Green Flag
  • The U.S. Air Force Weapons School
  • Various joint exercises, such as the Joint Expeditionary Force Experiment
NTTR provides a real-world environment for air- and ground-based military activities, such as:
  • Pilot and crew training
  • Combat exercises
  • Manned and unmanned aircraft and weapons systems testing

STTR

SPACE TEST AND TRAINING RANGE
Space Test and Training Range (STTR) at Schriever Air Force Base
STTR operates the DoD’s only Space Range providing customers with a safe and secure environment to support test, training, tactics, and exercise activities from various locations worldwide. STTR exercise support includes large-scale events such as Austere Challenge, Global Lightning, Global Thunder, Valiant Shield, and Red Flag.

The JT4 team supporting the STTR is responsible for planning, scheduling, integrating, maintaining, and operating the range in a safe and secure manner. STTR operations require the development of target and threat models and simulations. In addition, the JT4 team will enable STTR to provide its customer base with an environment which they can train and exercise operational systems, as well as capabilities to test new or improved space control technologies. JT4 team members will work side by side with their military partners during events execution performing the duties of Range Control Officer (RCO), Range Director (RD), Range Technician (RT), Range Operator (RO), Liaison Officer (LNO), and Range Engineer.

Annex 4 supports China Lake and Point Mugu Ranges in California.

China Lake, in California's Mojave Desert, is home to NAVAIR's Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD). Few areas in the world offer such wide variety of geographical features in close proximity...mountains, deserts, canyons, caves and forests. The encroached air and land ranges at China Lake provide unmatched geographic conditions in which to develop and test weapon systems and explore tactics for desert and mountain environments.

NAVAIR Point Mugu is located at Naval Base Ventura County, just west of Los Angeles. It was established in 1946 as the Navy's first instrumented missile test sea range. It offers enormous geographic diversity: vast ocean, deep water ports, protected islands within restricted air space. The 36,000 square-mile sea range, which includes San Nicolas Island, supports both developmental and operational test and evaluation of missiles, free-fall weapons and electronic warfare systems.

UTTR

UTAH TEST AND TRAINING RANGE
Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR)
UTTR is a Major Range and Test Facility Base for the U.S. Department of Defense. It provides an ideal location for operational test and evaluation for weapons requiring a large safety footprint. It is also the only location capable of supporting overland testing of cruise missiles.

JT4 provides telemetry, radar tracking, Link-16 data link, communications, weapons scoring, and mission control support services for the UTTR. In addition, we support air-to-air-combat, air-to-ground inert and live bombing and gunnery training.

Air Force Test Center 412th Test Wing (412TW) at Edwards Air Force Base
We support research, development, and testing of aerospace systems. The range's more than 20,000 square miles of airspace include three supersonic corridors and four aircraft spin areas. Here, our staff supports ground test facilities and flight testing for aircraft – including the F-22 Raptor and the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, as well as for the RQ-4A Global Hawk Unmanned Combat Aerial System.
